We believe that most illnesses and diseases require collaborative care. Collaborative care is when the doctor works with the patient as a partner, which includes access to other allied healthcare practitioners for support. Ingetrating various health modalities provides care for the whole person. It is tending to your physical, mental, spiritual, and social needs, being aware of how all these aspects affect your overall health.

Community acupuncture is a treatment model where patients receive acupuncture in a quiet, open group setting rather than a private room. Instead of lying on a massage table, you relax in a comfortable recliner chair in a peaceful, shared room alongside other patients who are also resting. Our sessions may have up to 3 people having a treatment at the same time. Sessions are only 30 minutes, which is a great choice for a needle-only follow-up session, especially if you are short on time. 

Because it is a group setting, you remain fully clothed. Your practitioner will use points primarily on your arms, legs, hands, feet, ears, and head. This means you only need to wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows your sleeves and pant legs to be rolled up easily.

We are not currently in network with insurance companies. This is because most insurance companies only accept specific diagnosis codes, which limits the care that a patient can receive.  We understand that every patient is different and requires individual care so our practice remains patient focused. Our hope is that in the near future major insurance companies will expand their coverage options for acupuncture. 

Anyone whose health can improve can benefit from our help. We will work with you to figure out the best way to integrate our holistic care into your current wellness practices. 

Yes. We accept these as forms of payment for medical treatments. 

This question gets asked a lot. It is strongly recommended to dress in loose-fitting comfortable clothing. For some treatments, I may need to access points on your arms, legs, feet, abdomen, and back. For facial work, such as facial acupuncture and micro-needling, it is best to come to your appointment with a makeup-free face. In the event you cannot come makeup-free, I will do an initial cleanse with soft cleansing cloths before we begin your facial treatment. 

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Appointments may be canceled or rescheduled online or by contacting our office by phone or email.

Please note that failure to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice may require prepayment for all future appointments.
